Elle est soucieuse d’articuler l’effort de l’intelligence croyante et le témoignage d’une vie sainte. La période post-communiste l’oblige à s’ouvrir aux problématiques contemporaines (écologie, bioéthique, démographie) et à porter témoignage au cœur de sociétés, marquées elles aussi par le pluralisme, la sécularisation et l’indifférence religieuse. Orthodox theology still takes its roots today in patristic thought, sacramental life and contemplation. It is anxious to combine the efforts made by the believer’s intelligence and the witness of a holy life. The posy communist period obliges Orthodox theology to be open to contemporary problems (ecology, bioethics, demography) and to bear witness in the very heart of society marked as they are by pluralism, secularisation and religious indifference. |
