In dit artikel gaat het echter om materiaal uit de Romeinse periode dat wordt aangetroffen in België, Nederland, Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië. Er kunnen hierbij verschillende periodes onderscheiden worden, waarbij het hoogtepunt ligt in het 3de kwart van de 1ste eeuw na Christus. Ook in de 1ste helft van de 4de eeuw n.Chr.a is er ook nog een belangrijke aanwezigheid van deze keramieksoort, maar deze blijft beperkt tot Krefeld-Gellep. Glazed earthenware from the Roman period in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Great Britain Glazed earthenware is mostly associated with the medieval and post-medieval periods. This paper considers the Roman glazed earthenware that is found in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Great Britain. The peak of its production was the third quarter of the 1st century AD. During the first halve of the 4th century AD another production peak occurs, this time limited to Krefeld-Gellep. |
