There can be little doubt that his work has had influence on quite a wide range of readers (from philosophers, theologians and literary critics, to poets, novelists and playwrites). The contours of Kierkegaard’s work are steeped in irony, from dramatic pseudonymity to parodoxic polemics, from aesthetic thought-experiments to edifying and Christian discourses. While his work is surely not easy to categorize, it nonetheless reflects a concern to probe the enigmatic depths of human passion, a probing which emerges in and through various shapes and forms. |
