In our issue of last Autumn we shared some thoughts on the meaning of the liturgical year for spouses and their family life. We aimed to follow the sequence of solemn feast days together with their times of preparation. A festival needs to be prepared for, it calls for a pause, for a switch of attention and for space to be made if we are truly to celebrate it. We started with New Year’s Eve as the opening of the year; then Advent; Lent; Harvest and Christ the King.
