Journal: Studia Iranica Volume: 26 Issue: 1 Date: 1997 Pages: 17-45 DOI: 10.2143/SI.26.1.2003948 Abstract : Six of the most authoritative MSS of the epic have been compared in terms of their interpolations, lacunae, diacritical accuracy, archaism of language, and the order of verses and hemistiches. The sample chosen for this comparison consists of 11,618 verses, and comprise the episode of the rule of Kaykhusrow. Additionally, other critical editions of the epic are briefly compared and evaluated in terms of their method and authority. Parmi les manuscrits de l'épopée du Shâhnâme qui font autorité, six ont été soumis à une comparaison aux points de vue des interpolations, de la précision diacritique, de l'archaïsme du langage, et de l'ordre des vers et des hémistiches. L'échantillon choisi pour cette étude comparative comprend 11.618 vers et a trait à l'épisode du règne de Kaykhusrow. En complément quelques autres éditions critiques de l'épopée sont comparées brièvement et évaluées en ce qui concerne leur méthode et leur autorité. |
