Abstract :
Gardiner (1948) et S.I.

The document known as Papyrus de Varzy entered the collections of the museum Auguste Grasset in Varzy since the 19th century. Fragmentary, the text present four lines, non complete, in hieratic. Of the reign of Ramses III, it probably originated of the Theban region. After F.-F. Chabas (1867 and 1903), A.H. Gardiner (1948) and S.I. Groll (1982), this study bring new reflections and specify the translation of the fourth line. Nowadays, it seems clear that the Papyrus de Varzy has to be explain as a juridic archive, and not as an evidence of the conspiracy of Ramses III's harem.
