Due to the data collected in the course of a research project at the universities of Bonn and Cologne concerning the Egyptian Book of the Dead, it now became possible to demonstrate that thirty-five papyrus lots of the Late and Ptolemaic period spread out over the museums of the world are part of eight single copies of the Book of the Dead which have been cut up by antique dealers. |
