We report on a young woman who presented with torsades de pointes, severe heart failure and multiple organ failure due to longstanding untreated hypothyroidism. Administration of appropriate substitution therapy was followed by a cessation of ventricular arrhythmias and a complete recovery of the cardiac function. |
