Document Details : Title: Mark 1,32-34 and 6,53-56 Subtitle: Tradition or redaction? Author(s): VERHEYDEN, J. Journal: Ephemerides Theologicae Lovanienses Volume: 64 Issue: 4 Date: December 1988 Pages: 415-428 DOI: 10.2143/ETL.64.4.556412 Abstract : Geert van Oyen's recebtly published book on the summaries in Mark is the first exhaustive treatment of this topic since W. Egger's monograph in 1976. Van Oyen has conceived his study in dialogue with Egger and concentrates on the list of summaries retained in Frohbotschaft und Lehre. One of the differences concerns the origin of some summaries. Egger stresses their important role in the redaction of the Gospel, but maintains the traditional character of 1,32-34 and 6,53-56. Van Oyen argues for redactional origin. |
