In book five of this work he deals with the problem of theological fatalism, an issue with which he had become familiar as a translator and commentator on Aristotle's De interpretatione. His discussion draws heavily upon the commentaryof Ammonius and the tradition of Plotinus and Proclus in order to frame his solution, which would have a profound effect upon medieval theology's conception of God and His knowledge of the world. |
