The basic difficulty in the interpretation of this verse involves what one understands by the term κύριος. The history of exegesis shows that κύριος in 2 Cor 3,17a has been taken to be God, Christ, or the Spirit itself. These theological, christological, and pneumatological interpretations of the verse are still being maintained'. |
