Author(s): ORSI, Domenica Paola Journal: Ancient Society Volume: 32 Date: 2002 Pages: 29-41 DOI: 10.2143/AS.32.0.55 Abstract : Plutarchus writes about the Athenian politician Fokiôn. He describes his family and everything what was said about the man. He mentions Glaucippus, son of Iperides, who speaks against Fokiôn for injustice that he provoked. In the Vita of the Pseudo-Plutarchus, the author concludes with the remark that Iperides officially protests against the honoring of Fokiôn by a certain Midia, son of Midia. The author tries to find out how these protests against Fokiôn are related to each other. |
