The colours, different shades of red, green, yellow, brown and blue, have kept their original lustre and the iconography displays a wealth of refined details. Technically, the woollen tapestry with its Z-spun/S-plied warp and its Z-spun weft is woven in the extremely rare weft faced twill 2/1. Its weft density is exceptional, with no less than 100 to 200 picks per centimetre. |
