Document Details : Title: Keith Ward's Comparative Christian Systematic Theology Author(s): VROOM, Hendrik M. Journal: Studies in Interreligious Dialogue Volume: 11 Issue: 1 Date: 2001 Pages: 92-119 DOI: 10.2143/SID.11.1.519043 Abstract : Keith Ward's four-volume systematic theology is a major work in interreligious dialogue. Thinkers in other religious traditions have often expounded on their ideas in dialogue with Western philosophers and Christian theologians. Representatives of Hindu and Buddhist schools have dealt with Plato and Aristotle, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Descartes, Kant, and several other classical thinkers of Western culture, and examined twentieth-century philosophies of Wittgenstein and the pragmatics. Some members of the Kyoto School have visited Heidegger and lived in Germany for a time and Masao Abe has lived in the United States. |
