It should be noted first that it is not religions that enter into dialogue, but religious people. For, unlike debate, dialogue is aimed at changes that result from attempts to understand one another. It is evident that it is not religions and civilzations that will change but rather religious and civilized people whose understandings of culture and religion will change or evolve and thus pave the way to mutual understanding. |
