The candlesticks from Holy Archangels' Church which are given here, were recorded in the course of the restoration of the Church which took place in 1985-90. They were all copied by hand and most of them were photographed. The dedications on these candlesticks form part of the documentation of Holy Archangels' Church, some of which the writers have already published, and intend to continue publishing. Inscriptions on objects from other sanctuaries in Jerusalem have been collected on an occasional basis over the years and will be presented after the publication of the inscriptions from Holy Archangels Church. |
