They built dams, reservoirs and canals. They also developed irrigation and agricultural methods. The main topic of the article is the skill the Nabateans had in developing agricultural techniques using the rainwater gathered in the desert areas of the Nabatean Kingdom during the first century BC and the first century AD. During this time, the population of the Kingdom increased and they were forced to conserve their water. The city of Petra is the prime example of their resourcefulness. |
