Document Details : Title: Panorama of Current Ritual-Liturgical Inculturation and Participation in the Netherlands Subtitle: Sketch and Perspective Author(s): POST, Paul Journal: Questions Liturgiques/Studies in Liturgy Volume: 85 Issue: 1-2 Date: 2004 Pages: 30-67 DOI: 10.2143/QL.85.1.504397 Abstract : The author followed amazed the discussions surrounding the introduction in the Liturgy 'Der Geist der Liturgie' by Cardinal Ratzinger. The evaluation of this book regularly goes beyond the character of a book review: people appear to be very affected, to take it very personally. A number of issues int his discussion have come to the author's attention: the reviews by Klemens Richter, Père Gy and Angelus Häussling are his point of departure. Unlike these reviewers, the author, is not closely connected to Vatican two and its demand for active participation (participatio actuosa) as a constant standard. He approaches the book from an anthropological point of view with liturgy as a ritual form of expression. The author likes to address the current litugical praxis and culture as the inevitable milieu of liturgy. |
