Document Details : Title: Vier Wiener koptische Papyrusfragmente Author(s): FÖRSTER, Hans Journal: Journal of Coptic Studies Volume: 4 Date: 2002 Pages: 113-126 DOI: 10.2143/JCS.4.0.503622 Abstract : Publication of four papyri in the Papyrussammlung of the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek in Vienna. Each papyrus is discussed in the same way: first an introduction, followed by a description of the papyrus, remarks on its palaeography, a transcription of the text and translation with line commentary. A picture of the papyri is added. The first papyrus (P. Vindob. K 5337) is a fragment of a 'Bürgschaftsurkunde'. The fragment P. Vindob. K 4934 contains a formula of a lease. The third papyrus fragment (P. Vindob. K 4948) was a contract, but only the names and signatures are preserved. Finally, P. Vindob. K 1512 is a contract stipulating that a payment has to be done 'when God wants it'. |
