In fact, however, he only allied himself with the journal for a brief period of its publication span. Only after Van Nu en Straks was discontinued, his attitude changed. This shift is due, on the one hand, to very personal motives, such as individual likes and dislikes, and on the other hand to more general ones, like the urge to manifest and position himself. |
