Le Directoire pour la catéchèse de 2020 et le pontificat de François marquent une évolution majeure: les personnes handicapées ne sont plus seulement destinataires de la catéchèse, mais protagonistes de l’évangélisation. En dialogue avec les travaux de John Swinton, Marie-Jo Thiel et Sarah Barton, l’article explore la vocation baptismale des personnes avec une déficience intellectuelle à travers les trois fonctions du baptisé – prêtre, prophète et roi – et met en lumière la valeur théologique de la dépendance et du soin mutuel. Les témoignages recueillis, notamment ceux d’Alice et de Bénédicte, révèlent une foi incarnée, une profonde compréhension relationnelle du baptême et une volonté authentique de service liturgique. L’article plaide pour une Église vraiment inclusive, où la vulnérabilité devient lieu de révélation et source d’épanouissement ecclésial. This article examines the meaning of baptism for people living with an intellectual disability, particularly when this disability precludes the verbal expression of faith or free consent. Drawing on a rereading of Thomas Aquinas in the context of disability, the author shows that baptismal dignity does not depend on reason but on grace, and that the intention of the church is sufficient to guarantee access to salvation. The Directory for Catechesis (2020) and the pontificate of Pope Francis mark a major shift: people with disabilities are no longer merely recipients of catechesis, but protagonists of evangelization. In dialogue with the work of John Swinton, Marie-Jo Thiel, and Sarah Barton, the article explores the baptismal vocation of people with intellectual disabilities through the three offices of the baptized – priest, prophet, and king – and highlights the theological value of dependence and mutual care. The testimonies gathered, particularly those of Alice and Bénédicte, reveal an embodied faith, a deep relational understanding of baptism, and an authentic desire for liturgical service. The article argues for a truly inclusive Church, in which vulnerability becomes a place of revelation and a source of ecclesial flourishing. Dieser Artikel befasst sich mit der Bedeutung der Taufe für Menschen mit einer geistigen Behinderung, insbesondere wenn diese die verbale Äußerung des Glaubens oder der freien Zustimmung nicht zulässt. Ausgehend von einer Neuinterpretation von Thomas von Aquin im Hinblick auf Behinderung zeigt die Autorin, dass die Würde der Taufe nicht von der Vernunft, sondern von der Gnade abhängt und dass die Absicht der Kirche ausreicht, um den Zugang zum Heil zu gewährleisten. Das Direktorium für die Katechese von 2020 und das Pontifikat von Franziskus markieren eine wichtige Entwicklung: Menschen mit Behinderung sind nicht mehr nur Adressaten der Katechese, sondern Protagonist:innen der Evangelisierung. Im Dialog mit den Arbeiten von John Swinton, Marie-Jo Thiel und Sarah Barton untersucht der Artikel die Taufberufung von Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung anhand der drei Funktionen der Getauften – Priester, Prophet und König – und beleuchtet den theologischen Wert von Abhängigkeit und gegenseitiger Fürsorge.
