Drawing on biblical passages from 1 Kings 17-19 and 2 Kings 1-2, each stanza is composed with rhyming lines, intertwining salutations to Elijah’s physical and spiritual qualities with prayers of intercession, creating a rhythm that unites praise and supplication. |
