Document Details : Title: The Marginalia in the Washington Manuscript of the Minor Prophets Author(s): WAGNER, Nicholas Journal: Journal of Coptic Studies Volume: 27 Date: 2025 Pages: 111-140 DOI: 10.2143/JCS.27.0.3294755 Abstract : The article revisits the marginalia in the Washington MS V (Rahlfs W), a third- or fourth-century papyrus codex containing the Greek Minor Prophets. Henry Sanders, who published the codex in 1927, gives the marginalia only passing attention, and they have been largely overlooked until the present day. Reexamination of the many secondary additions to the manuscript reveals they are the work of multiple annotators who were collectively engaged in the correction, collation, and critical study of the Greek Minor Prophets. After discussing the content, purpose, and source of the additions, the article concludes with an edition of the marginalia. |
