Abstract :
This article deals with the archaeological and conservation activities conducted by the Middle Kingdom Theban Project in the topos of Epiphanius, located in the area of the Eleventh Dynasty tomb of Dagi (TT 103 — MMA 807) in the Theban necropolis. Thus, the aim of the paper is to present the current state of preservation of the most significant remains of the complex, reporting on the archaeological works developed in the area in season 2023. Beyond the general description of the major parts of the complex (inner rooms, vestibule, tomb façade, towers, cemetery, and eastern buildings), the authors assess the state of preservation of these structures, discuss the identification of loom-installations at the site, and make use of the analysis for one of the walls in the complex — which reveals several stages of construction and modifications — to discuss the various phases of construction of the topos of Epiphanius.
