Document Details : Title: Un gruppo di pissidi tardo apule a tecnica mista Author(s): TROTTA, Filippo Journal: BABESCH Volume: 100 Date: 2025 Pages: 63-77 DOI: 10.2143/BAB.100.0.3294523 Abstract : This study focuses on a small group of late Apulian pyxides, dating from the late 4th to the early 3rd century BC, characterized by unusual typological and decorative features. They consist of cups with two handles accompanied by lentoid-shaped lids and are decorated with both red-figure and polychrome overpainting techniques. The group appears to have been conceived as an innovative product and executed by painters specialized in different painting techniques, operating within the same workshop, perhaps located in Ruvo di Puglia. |
