Drawing on my conversations with Pentecostal theologians and further engagement with Pentecostal scholarship, I highlight three gifts the Pentecostal tradition might offer my own tradition of Roman Catholicism. These three gifts are the centrality of the equalizing power of the Holy Spirit manifest on Pentecost, an imaginative and participatory eschatology, and the expression of charisms within liturgical celebrations. All three of these gifts have historically contributed to the flourishing of women’s preaching in the Pentecostal tradition. I suggest that these theological emphases may be fruitful avenues to pursue in Catholic sacramental theology regarding the conversation around lay preaching at the Eucharist. Cet essai est un exercice d’oecuménisme réceptif, que j’entends comme une forme de dialogue qui commence par se demander ce que sa propre tradition peut apprendre des autres traditions. En m’appuyant sur mes conversations avec des théologiens pentecôtistes et sur un engagement plus poussé dans la recherche pentecôtiste, je souligne trois dons que la tradition pentecôtiste pourrait offrir à ma propre tradition, le catholicisme romain. Ces trois dons sont la centralité du pouvoir égalisateur du Saint-Esprit manifesté à la Pentecôte, une eschatologie imaginative et participative, et l’expression des charismes dans les célébrations liturgiques. Ces trois dons ont historiquement contribué à l’épanouissement de la prédication féminine dans la tradition pentecôtiste.
