Throughout the history of transmission and translation of this psalm, we can see that some versions define more precisely the areas in which these two groups differ by using the same term or by employing words derived from the same root. In this short note, I undertake a journey that starts in Jerusalem and through Alexandria reaches the Caucasus, tracking the linguistic enhancement of the abovementioned opposition. Le psaume 1 s’articule autour du contraste permanent entre deux groupes de personnes, les justes et les méchants/pécheurs. Tout au long de l’histoire de la transmission et de la traduction de ce psaume, nous pouvons constater que certaines versions définissent plus précisément les domaines dans lesquels ces deux groupes diffèrent en utilisant le même terme ou en employant des mots dérivés de la même racine. Dans cette courte note, j’entreprends un voyage qui part de Jérusalem et qui, en passant par Alexandrie, atteint le Caucase, en suivant l’évolution linguistique de l’opposition susmentionnée. |
