Document Details : Title: L'unité du texte hébreu de Ben Sira 39,12-51,30? Author(s): GILBERT, Maurice Journal: Biblica Volume: 105 Issue: 4 Date: 2024 Pages: 506-520 DOI: 10.2143/BIB.105.4.3294173 Abstract : P.C. Beentjes suggested in 2014 that Sir 39,12–50,26 functions as the final part of the book. Praising the Lord is certainly one of the main themes of these chapters. Moreover, binomial pericopes, frequent in the book, are also the structure of this final part, confirmed by a few typical words, such as: works of God, man (opposed to woman), dying and death (already present from the beginning of the book), and name (meaning reputation). |
