Après avoir présenté la place des femmes dans l’institution et examiné les évolutions récentes de la théologie de la femme, l’article présente un cadre d’analyse de la ritualité et de la ritualisation à partir des travaux de Catherine Bell et de Michel Foucault. En interrogeant si ce rituel, uniquement réservé aux hommes, participe stratégiquement à l’établissement d’un ordre hégémonique, l’analyse explore sa potentialité à refléter la hiérarchie catholique et la subordination des femmes. This article explores the Catholic sacrament of ordination in its potential role in establishing and perpetuating power dynamics within the Catholic Church. After introducing the representation of women in the institution and examining the recent developments in theology of woman, the article presents an analytical framework for rituality and ritualization based on the works of Catherine Bell and Michel Foucault. By questioning whether this ritual, exclusively reserved for men, strategically contributes to the establishment of a hegemonic order, the analysis explores its potential to reflect the Catholic hierarchy and the subordination of women. |
