The swords, which are generally dated to the 2nd millennium BC, are examined in this paper because they allow a comparison between the two areas. Scholars have traditionally proposed several hypotheses regarding the possible Aegean origin of the ‘long swords’ from the southern Caucasus, which are discussed in detail in this paper. In this regard, a morphological and dimensional analysis is carried out in order to evaluate carefully the archaeological evidence of some hypotheses put forward. |
