Abstract :
This paper presents a note in Syriac that appears in Oxford, New College Library, MS 333 and comes from the Christian Topography of Cosmas Indicopleustes, a sixth-century Greek writer. The note appears in connection with the list of the kephalaia and titloi in the Gospel of John. This is the first excerpt from Cosmas ever found in Syriac. The paper offers the text of the note, its translation, and some first comments.
