It concludes, in contrast to recent innovative study, that the hithpolel וַיִּתְמֹדֵד 'stretch oneself out' (מדד) is linguistically and contextually sensible and should not be re-read as hithpolel of מיד 'to shake'. Cette courte note est une analyse linguistique de l’activité d’Élie en 1 R 17,21. Elle conclut, contrairement à une étude novatrice récente, que le hithpolel וַיִּתְמֹדֵד «s’étendre» (מדד) est linguistiquement et contextuellement pertinent et ne doit pas être relu comme un hithpolel de מיד «secouer». |
