Journal: Revue Biblique Volume: 131 Issue: 3 Date: 2024 Pages: 321-339 DOI: 10.2143/RBI.131.3.3293213 Abstract : Two accounts on Bethel, Gen 28:10-22 and 1 Kings 13, are sampled and their discursive dynamic is analyzed both on the synchronic and diachronic levels. On the synchronic level, one endorses a voice of inclusion and the other exclusion, and thereby the two accounts debate each other. Yet deep inside, each account reveals its own internal debate that has fluctuated at each stage of its diachronic growths. What the late exilic experience brought about to the Judean identity was significant but should not be taken as the beginning of Judah’s identity formation but a major change to the ongoing negotiation. On choisit d’étudier deux récits sur Béthel: Gn 28,10-22 et 1 R 13. Leur dynamique discursive est analysée tant au niveau synchronique que diachronique. Au niveau synchronique, l’un soutient une voix d’inclusion et l’autre d’exclusion, et ainsi les deux récits entrent en débat l’un avec l’autre. Pourtant, au fond, chaque récit révèle son propre débat interne qui a fluctué à chaque étape de son développement diachronique. Ce qui a été engendré par l’expérience de la fin de l’Exil concernant l’identité judéenne était significatif mais ne doit pas être considéré comme le début de la formation de l’identité de Juda, mais comme un changement majeur dans la négociation en cours. |
