Document Details : Title: Abschied von den Männern Hiskias Subtitle: Proverbia 25-29 als späte aramaisierende Komposition Author(s): KWON, JiSeong James , BRÜTSCH, Matthias Journal: Biblica Volume: 104 Issue: 4 Date: 2023 Pages: 518-540 DOI: 10.2143/BIB.104.4.3292741 Abstract : The section Proverbs 25-29 known as 'Proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah King of Judah copied out' shows evidence of a late intellectual background. Stylistically, the title mentioned would not fit in an earlier period and it seems to presuppose the incorporation of the Torah as the written law. The perspective on nature and wildlife shows the characteristic change from earlier texts, and it is most likely to be seen as the influence of Greek natural philosophy. The mention of God also decreases and the influence of Aramaisms is particularly significant. |
