The study of Psalm 68 leads scholars in several directions at the same time. It escapes a single categorization of literary genres. At the same time as it seems to have been formed as an individual psalm, it has also evolved in the context of the sequence of psalms that surround it. Its Yahwistic emphasis in the Elohistic Psalter reflects a theological alternative. |
