Dans le présent article, nous analyserons son argumentation à travers deux questions: comment comprendre le concept «Un» dans la vision chrétienne, et comment articuler Unité et Trinité en Dieu selon la foi chrétienne? En présentant son argumentation et en répondant à ces deux questions fondamentales, nous essayerons de présenter la théologie trinitaire de notre auteur et de montrer, à travers la conception, le vocabulaire et la doctrine de l’analogie de l’être, la réception de la théologie trinitaire cappadocienne en arabe, tout particulièrement dans la Lettre 38 et le Contre Eunome de Grégoire de Nysse. At the beginning of the Islamic-Christian Trinitarian controversies, Abū Rā’iṭah al-Takrītī, a ninth-century Jacobite theologian and philosopher, responds to the Muslim accusation of tritheism in his Epistle on the Holy Trinity written in Arabic. In this article, we will analyze his argument through two questions. How does he understand the concept of ‘one’ in the Christian vision, and how does he articulate Unity and Trinity in God according to the Christian faith? By examining his argumentation and by answering these two fundamental questions, we will present the Trinitarian theology of our author. Through the conception, the vocabulary, and the doctrine of the analogy of being we will also show the reception of Cappadocian Trinitarian theology (in particular the Letter 38 and the Against Eunomius of Gregory of Nyssa) in Arabic. |
