However, a detailed examination of these shows that they result from the activity of a forger, since the inscriptions can be identified as copies of various texts, copied (manuscripts), engraved (stelae, lintels) or embroidered (textiles) in the Fayoum region during the tenth century. The article outlines the stages of the investigation conducted by the authors, draws up a first corpus of falsified objects and details the process of reproduction on these objects of five different texts, all from Tebtynis/Toutôn. |
