Sarianidi (1985), whose observations have been the most meticulous. This article explores mainly the classical subjects and their relationship to other Greek work in the east, as well as subjects which, from their associations with China and the Huns to the east, and with India to the south, reinforce the excavator's deduction that the occupants of the graves were Yueh-chi, proto-Kushans, rather than Saka. |
