This article delves into the genesis of this collection and the fragments and testimonia that are included within it, as well as the relationship of Orsini’s proposal with Antonio Agustín’s attempt to collect the Caesarian fragments a few years earlier, which is preserved in the manuscript Biblioteca Nacional de España, Mss. 7901. Finally, this article analyses the subsequent impact of Orsini’s edition in the following decades and its noteworthy diffusion until the beginning of the seventeenth century. |
