Document Details : Title: Une philosophie de la migration en deux variations Subtitle: L'envahisseur et le voisin Author(s): LE BLANC, Guillaume Journal: Tijdschrift voor Filosofie Volume: 83 Issue: 1 Date: 2021 Pages: 57-78 DOI: 10.2143/TVF.83.1.3289377 Abstract : This article proposes to explore different meanings of hospitality from two contemporary scenes of inhospitality. The aim is to be attentive to the different ways of making a life different (or ‘other’), by considering it as foreign. This negative quality of the foreigner being put in brackets, to which gesture of hospitality can we still be referred? In opposition to the rhetoric of the war of civilizations and the discourse of the border, it is possible to experience a cosmopolitanism of the neighborhoods in large cities where the key figure becomes that of cohabitation. This text proposes, in the form of a collage, two variations on migration at the antipodes of each other. |
