Document Details : Title: Le martyre de Šušanik Subtitle: Une hypothèse au sujet de la date des traductions géorgiennes des Évangiles Author(s): OUTTIER, Bernard Journal: Revue des Études Arméniennes Volume: 39 Date: 2020 Pages: 593-597 DOI: 10.2143/REA.39.0.3288980 Abstract : This paper endeavours to show that Jakob Curtaveli, while writing the «Martyrdom of the holy Shushanik», used both of the old translations of the Gospels in Georgian : the Adysh recension and the «Protovulgata». If this is true, we have to consider that the Protovulgata is as old as the Adysh translation. Then, the solution would be to adscribe the Adysh translation to the Georgian monks in Palestine, while the Protovulgata could have been translated in Kartli. |
