Document Details : Title: De Larsa à Mari (II) Subtitle: Nouvelles incantations paléo-babyloniennes Author(s): GUICHARD, Michaël Journal: Semitica Volume: 62 Date: 2020 Pages: 5-20 DOI: 10.2143/SE.62.0.3288849 Abstract : This paper presents two unpublished tablets that probably come from the kingdom of Larsa. These Akkadian incantations share a common theme: scorpion bite. One of them offers a variation on the well-documented formula of '(The Moon god) Sin’s little finger', which was bitten. The other is more creative and lyrical; it connects the scorpion’s attack to a brick wall, its habitat, which is itself cursed. |
