Author(s): FOUGERON, Irina Journal: Bulletin de la Société de Linguistique de Paris Volume: 114 Issue: 1 Date: 2019 Pages: 459-477 DOI: 10.2143/BSL.114.1.3287162 Abstract : The archives of the Geneva Library in the Charles Bally collection kept the letters of S. Karcevski to Charles Bally of the period 1921-1926. They give an idea of Karcevski’s life in Prague when he is working on his dissertation. In the archives of the University of Geneva in the Karcevski collection, there are letters by R. Yakobson to Karcevski, which shed light on the creation of Karcevski’s article 'On the Phonology of a Phrase'. In the same fund are documents testifying to the attempt to establish a connection between the Paris Linguistic Society and S. Karcevski. |
