Document Details : Title: La coupe RS 26.318 et la vaisselle en serpentinite d'Ougarit Author(s): MATOÏAN, Valérie , GEYER, Bernard Journal: Semitica Volume: 61 Date: 2019 Pages: 215-234 DOI: 10.2143/SE.61.0.3286692 Abstract : Two unpublished drawings documenting the serpentinite vase RS 26.318, recently identified from the archives of the Syrian-French Archeological Mission of Ras Shamra – Ugarit, led us to re-examine this object, a unicum discovered in 1963 on the tell of Ras Shamra. The study also offers the opportunity to reopen the record of serpentinite, a rock available in the northern Levant, in the Baer-Bassit massif and near Ugarit. |
