This interpretation differs from that proposed by Franz Bücheler (in Eugene Oder’s edition), which was adopted in the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae and in some studies of the early twentieth century on the language and the text of the Mulomedicina Chironis; its takes into account other terms belonging to the Greek medical textual tradition and to Medieval Latin. |
