The devotional print, which was privately owned in the Netherlands until at least the 1950s, is related to Scherpenheuvel, the main pilgrimage center in the Habsburg Low Countries. This article intends to draw attention to this exceptional artifact that has now moved to American soil as well as to put it in its historical and devotional context. |
