Document Details : Title: Louvain Personalism as Foundation of Ethics Subtitle: A Revision of the Care Context Author(s): LIÉGEOIS, Axel Journal: Louvain Studies Volume: 40 Issue: 4 Date: 2017 Pages: 410-421 DOI: 10.2143/LS.40.4.3265655 Abstract : Louvain personalism plays an important role in Catholic moral theology. In this contribution we outline some developments in the Louvain tradition of personalism, of which Louis Janssens is the founder. More specifically, we discuss the view on the human person as foundation and criterion of ethics. Based on some critical comments on the dimensions of the human person, we make an attempt to radicalize personalism in the context of care by elaborating on its relational dimension in a consistent way. |
