Document Details : Title: Le discours de Jonathan à David (1 S 20,12-16) et autres notes (2,20; 9,24; 15,9) Author(s): WÉNIN, André Journal: Biblica Volume: 64 Issue: 1 Date: 1983 Pages: 1-19 DOI: 10.2143/BIB.64.1.3220779 Abstract : Though the MT of 1 Sam seems to be at times ununderstandable, the consonantical text may be basically sound. This study is an attempt to establish this claim through the analysis of some cruces in 1 Sam. The author proposes new readings of three short passages (2,20; 9,24; 15,9); two of these require drastic change of the massoretic vocalization. Another longer text (20,12-16) presents rather syntactical problems because of the length of the phrases and the difficult comprehension of some particles hinnēh, welō'); the analysis leads to a structural and suggestive interpretation of MT as it stands. |
