Settlement and site patterning observed in relation to water and soil management systems are described and compared with other regions, primarily the Diyala and Upper Khuzistan (Susiana) Plains. The roles of marginality, autonomy, and cooperating corporate groups are considered in relation to the findings of the survey. |
