The article focuses on the consensual cue of ‘An Actively Supportive Policy toward Religion’ which, during the last decade, has become the main framework for discussions about the state’s involvement in the religious field. The question of possible value-based restrictions on receiving financial support from the state is discussed with a view to the situation of ‘minorities within the minorities’. Finally, recent political discussions are compared with recent developments in Christian-Muslim dialogue and a joint concern for vulnerable groups which might seem to be confluent with important elements of the state’s value-based policy. |
